Can I plant a small tree in my WoodBlocX raised bed?

Small tree in WoodBlocX planter

Yes you can! We recommend planting trees in a raised planter that's a minimum of 65cm tall (2ft 1.5") or 6 WoodBlocX layers + capping in height.

The raised bed will need to be fully lined if on hard ground (sides and bottom) and you will need to make sure that the tree you choose has a root system that's suitable for the space (so to not outgrow the planter). If the tree gets too big and is in a windy place it may damage the structural stability of your WoodBlocX raised bed. As a rule: we advise the tree should never be more than twice the height of the planter.

Did you know? We sell tree edging and surrounds that are perfect to neaten up or define trees you already have in your garden.
