# What timber/wood is used to make WoodBlocX?

We use only locally sourced **Scottish Pine** to make WoodBlocX. All of our timber is **sustainably sourced** and rough sawn. 

WoodBlocX timber is [pressure-treated with a water-based preservative](/en/article/is-woodblocx-wood-treated-ixd35o/) (Wolmanit CX) to make it durable and long-lasting in your garden.

We only use slow-grown pine and do not use wood containing the heart of the tree. This ensures the highest quality timber on the market for building with in your garden.
